The Americus Travelers 13U defeated the Screven County Gamecocks, 7-2, in their opening game for the 2018 campaign. Americus would plate one in their initial at-batter, with Jaxson Haire singling on a 2-2 count. Caden King led with three
hits in three at-bats. Pitching: Peyton Tompkins allowed a pair of hits and pair of runs over two frames. He walked one and sent three back to the dugout. |

The 13U Travelers of Americus won against the Eagle Outlaws, 14-7. Americus would steal the lead late in the game; they were down 7-6 in the bottom of the fourth when Jaxson Haire doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring a pair of runs. The Travelers earned the victory, even though the Outlaws had plated four in their initial at-batter. Americus would post 13 hits total in the contest. Peyton Tompkins, Owen Lamb and Tripp Thomas all contributed multiple hits. Lamb and Tompkins both had three.
