      #01, Head Coach - Tim Estes

Coach Tim Estes founded the Americus Travelers Baseball Club in 1995 and has spearheaded the rise of this program from a recreational level team to a nationally elite program. He has been named the National Coach of the Year twice (2007, 2013) and has lead four teams to the National Championship game (2007, 2013, 2015 and 2017).

Coach Estes baseball background includes playing catcher at Americus High School, graduating in 1987 and being named to the All-Area, All-Region and All-State teams. He played catcher on scholarship at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama for Hall of Fame Coach Tom Fletcher. As a coach, he has coached a Dixie Youth City & District Championship. He served as a Volunteer assistant for two seasons at Sidney Lanier High School setting school records for wins in a season in both years. He served as a “bird dog” scout in the San Francisco Giants organization for two seasons and has coached the Travelers for 20+ seasons.

Professionally, Coach Estes worked for the Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department as a stadium manager from 1990-1994. He was the Assistant Director of the Americus Sumter County Recreation Authority from 1994-2008. He was named the Executive Director of the Sumter County Park’s and Recreation Department in 2008 -Present.

Personally, Coach Estes has been married to his wife Tammie since 1993. They have two daughters: Lexie: a senior at Georgia Southwestern State University and Ashleigh: a freshmen at Georgia Southwestern State University. The Estes are members of the Oasis Church of Christ in Ellaville where Tim alternates the preaching duties. He enjoys traveling to the North Georgia Mountains, fishing and the beach in what little spare time he has.

      Assistant Coach - Jarrod Wall

Jarrod Wall enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Americus Travelers. He graduated from Schley County High School in May 2017. He played baseball for four years, winning two state championships as a catcher. Wall currently attends Georgia Southwestern State University, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter in Ellaville.

Wall was born in Warner Robins and raised in Ellaville. He played for the Americus Travelers, beginning as a 13 year old in 2013, under the direction of Tim Estes, Jeff Fussell and Adam Fussell. Wall is also an Eagle Scout. He is currently employed with the Schley County School System in Ellaville as a Technology Specialist and Website Administrator in the Technology Department.

Wall's family includes his parents, Rodney and Vanessa, and his sister, Mallory. The Walls attend Ellaville Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys watching football and baseball.
