      #01, Head Coach - Tim Estes

Coach Tim Estes founded the Americus Travelers Baseball Club in 1995 and has guided their rise from a recreational level into a national recognized elite level program. He has twice been named the National Coach of the Year (2007, 2013) and has lead teams into the National Championship game during six seasons; 2007, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. His 2007 Travelers team won the USSSA 17U “Major” World Series in Charlotte, North Carolina. His 2020 team won the Top Gun Summer National Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Coach Estes playing career includes a decorated high school career at Americus High School where he was an All-Area & All-Region Catcher. He played college baseball on scholarship at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama for Hall of Fame Coach; Tom Fletcher. In addition to youth baseball he served as a volunteer assistant for two seasons at Sidney Lanier High School, served as a “Bird Dog” Scout for the San Francisco Giants organization for two seasons and has now been the director of operations and head coach of the Americus Travelers for 25 seasons.

Professionally, Tim Estes has spent his entire career in the field of public parks and recreation. He began his career as a stadium manager for the city of Montgomery, Alabama (1990-1994). He then became the assistant director of the Americus-Sumter County Recreation Department (1994 – 2008). He now serves as the Executive Director of the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department. In addition to his employment – he is also very involved in the Georgia Recreation and Park Association and has served on the State Athletic Committee for 13 years. He was selected as the State Athletic Chairman in 2019 and will serve in that same role again in 2022.

Personally; Tim has been married to his wife Tammie since 1993 and they have two daughters; Lexie Estes Wall and Ashleigh Estes. They are members of the Oasis church of Christ in Ellaville, Georgia where Tim alternates the preaching duties. He enjoys fishing, vacationing in Helen, Georgia and spending time at the beach.

      Assistant Coach - Reid Ragsdale

      Assistant Coach - Jarrod Wall

Jarrod Wall enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Americus Travelers. He graduated from Schley County High School in May 2017. He played baseball for four years, winning two state championships as a catcher. Wall recently graduated from Albany Technical College as a Paramedic and works full-time for Dougherty County EMS as well as part-time with Schley County EMS. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter in Ellaville.

Wall was born in Warner Robins and raised in Ellaville. He played for the Americus Travelers, beginning as a 13 year old in 2013, under the direction of Tim Estes, Jeff Fussell and Adam Fussell. Wall is also an Eagle Scout. He recently married his high school sweetheart; Lexie Estes in August 2020. They reside in Ellaville with their dogs Tank & Ryder. They attend the Oasis church of Christ. Coach Wall is the son of Rodney and Vanessa Wall and has an older sister; Mallory.

      Assistant Coach - Aaron Ginn

Aaron Ginn joins the Travelers coaching staff for 2021. Ginn is a 2021 graduate of Albany State University. He pitched collegiately at Pensacola State College, the University of Southern Mississippi and at Albany State. His main responsibilities will be working with the Travelers pitchers. Coach Ginn is from Crawfordville, Florida. He is the son of Mike and Melanie Ginn and has an older brother; Brian Ginn.
