Peach County

The Travelers defeated Peach County in a double header, 2-1 and 5-4. In the seventh inning of game #1, Americus tied with Peach as Joe Lamb singled in Jonathan Crumbliss, who reached on a fielder's choice then moved forward when Bobby Ryals was walked. Glen Usry then singled in Jay Anderson, who doubled with deuce outs already posted. Joe Morris shined on the mound, walking four, allowing eight hits, and striking out nine.

In the nightcap, Americus snatched the lead in inning #3 as Usry scored via a single by Ryals. Ryals, in turn, reached third on a hit by Stephen Beck, then scored in a double steal. In inning #4, the Orange and Navy squad tied Peach again 3-3 as Wes Smith reached third on a groundout by Lamb, then scored with Anderson's sac fly. Peach led 4-3 in inning #5. Mark Hall walked, stole second and reached third via a Blackcat error. Wes Skipper's hit tied the score, 4-4. The winning run occurred in inning #7 as Ryals singled in Crumbliss, who had singled then reached second due to a wild pitch. Beck, as pitcher, allowed nine hits, fanned eleven and allowed only a single walk. Usry struck out the lone batter he faced.


South Macon

The Travelers defeated South Macon in a double header, 11-4 and 17-13. Graham Bright was the winning pitcher for game #1. Outstanding hitters were Bobby Ryals (2-for-4) and Glen Usry (2-for-4). In the nightcap, Ryals was the winning pitcher and went 4-for-4 in batting. Stephen Beck went 5-for-5. Joe Lamb, Wes Skipper, and Wes Smith each posted deuce hits.


Warner Robins

The Travelers defeated Warner Robins in a twin bill, 13-0 and 10-2.


Taylor County

The Travelers defeated Taylor County, 11-1.


GRPA District Tournament

Moultrie

The Travelers were defeated by Moultrie 10-3 in the opening game of the GRPA District Tournament. The Orange and Navy scored their runs in inning #5 - Jay Anderson singled then went to second on a single by Graham Bright. Both scored via single by Stephen Beck, who scored via double by Bobby Ryals. Despite the loss, the Travelers rebounded and defeated Moultrie in game #2, 16-11.

Moultrie

The Travelers took the District Tournament trophy as a result of defeating Moultrie, 6-4. Glen Usry was the winning pitcher in the third game. The Travelers' bats snapped, crackled and popped in inning #5 as Ted Turner and Jay Anderson both walked. Joe Lamb struck out, but managed to reach first due to the Moultrie catcher losing the ball on a wild pitch. Stephen Beck's sac fly scored a solo run, then Bobby Ryals deuced in a pair. Wes Smith doubled in run #4 and Usry singled in run #5. The Travelers scored run #6 in the seventh, though Moultrie managed to put two more runs up themselves before the game ended.
