May 23-25 - Memorial Day Tournament @ Albany

The Travelers went 3-1 in the Memorial Day Tournament, held at the Eames Complex in Albany, Georgia:
  • Lost 8-1 to Albany American Legion Post 30
  • Won 4-2 against Albany Post 30 B
  • Won 12-4 against the Tallahassee Baseball Club
  • Won 9-4 against Deerfield-Windsor

May 27 - Southwest Georgia Rebels

The Travelers defeated the Southwest Georgia Rebels, 15-3.


May 30/June 1 - First Pitch Festival Tournament @ Cocoa Expo

The Americus Travelers went 1-2 in the First Pitch Festival Tournament:
  • Won 12-1 against the New Smyrna Beach All Stars
  • Lost 10-6 to the Puerto Rico Pirates
  • Lost 9-6 to Auburndale, Florida

June 10 - Albany American Legion Post 30 B

The Travelers lost to Post 30-B of Albany, 6-5. Thomas Carroll, Cam Ellis, and Jody Sellars all saw time on the mound; combined, they allowed a solo earned run. Carroll pitched five frames, allowing a pair of hits, five walks, and fanned five. Americus didn't score until the fourth as Sellars doubled to center and Ellis hit a deep fly ball. With deuce outs and a runner on second in frame #5, Matt Kiley beat out an infield hit to post another score. In the seventh, Sellars hit another ball to center. Going to third base, a wild throw allowed him to score the run that knotted the game at that point.


June 21 - USSSA AA State Championship/Warner Robins Nationals

Americus defeated Warner Robins in the best two-of-three series to win the USSSA AA 15 and Under State Championship, winning 18-0 and 21-1. The Travelers would score all eighteen runs in their initial at-batter on ten hits, and the game was called after two and a half frames due to the mercy rule. Cam Ellis took the win on the mound with no hits, fanning four and allowing a pair to walk. In the nightcap, Americus would score 21 on 17 hits in four innings. Jody Sellars took the win, allowing one run and striking out eight. Jeff Barfield closed the matchup out in frame #4. John Edwards had five hits. Sellars and Matt Kiley each contributed four. Posting a trio were Thomas Carroll and Joah Evans, and Ellis, Zach Slaughter, Josh Oliver, and Barfield each contributed a pair.


June 22 - Southwest Georgia Rebels

Americus defeated the Rebels, 14-2.


July 3 - Ellaville

The Travelers were defeated by Ellaville in a double dip, 3-2 and 3-1.


July 8 - Macon Mudcats

The Travelers won against the Macon Mudcats, 10-7. Joah Evans pitched in frames 1-4, allowing a pair of runs on six hits, one walk, and fanned five. Thomas Carroll pitched two and 2/3 innings, striking out four and walking four. Jody Sellars would close the final inning. In Americus' initial at-batter, Drew Wright singled. Sellars posted a double, then both he and Wright scored on a hit from Cam Ellis (three hits total). The Travelers would plate six in the deuce frame, Sellars contributing a three-scoring dinger; Ellis would triple and score himself via a wild pitch. Matt Kiley contributed a run-batted-in hit in inning #5. Sellars then doubled and scored on a run-batted-in out by Eric Skipper in the sixth frame.


USSSA AAA World Series @ Murfreesboro, Tennessee
