April 23 - Schley County 14U Team / Ellaville

The Americus Travelers started out their 2013 season with a 25-0 win over the Schley County 14U team. The orange and navy crew pounded out 16 hits in five innings. Chance Hollomon, Will Lanneau, Tommy Butler and Cameron Belcher all saw time on the mound, and each threw scoreless innings.

A word from Coach Estes: "We're grateful to the Schley County Rec Dept for giving us the opportunity to play this scrimmage. I was very pleased with all of our pitchers. They hit their spots and didn't lose focus. We hit the baseball well when it was in the strike zone. I thought we ran the bases well. The kids have learned a lot over the last week and we're all excited to play this first tournament.

April 27 - North Macon Longhorns

The Americus Travelers defeated the North Macon Longhorns, 10-6, in the Arbor Day NIT Tournament. The Orange and Navy crew plated five in their initial at-batter. Clint Sellars hit a homerun in inning #2, plus had single hits in three other innings. He contributed quad RBIs with four hits.

April 27 - ABA Braves

The Travelers lost to the ABA Braves, 13-9, in four innings. They contributed 12 hits in this contest. Noah Young went 3-for-3, posting single hits in the first two frames, then a triple in inning #4. Americus posted an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the initial at-batter. Young's hit ignited the batting effort. Reid Ragsdale's hit moved Young to second; Tommy Butler then singled to plate both Young and Ragsdale. The Travelers would plate three more in their fourth inning. Clint Sellars had an RBI hit. Cameron Belcher had a groundout, and Camron Vanlerberghe would also contribute a run scoring hit.

April 28 - ABA Braves

The Travelers won against the ABA Braves, 7-6, in a true back-to-back contest at Forsyth, Georgia as part of the Arbor Day NIT Tournament. Americus secured the win what with a great third inning. Tommy Butler contributed a run-scoring double which plated Clint Sellars. The lead would remain with the Orange and Navy crew; the Braves were not able to weather the deficit that resulted in the inning. Butler had a trio of runs batted in on deuce hits.

The initial at-batter had the Travelers taking the lead early on as Camron Vanlerberghe's single started the hitting sparks. Butler than had a homerun, plating Vanlerberghe.

April 28 - PH Phillies

The Travelers defeated the PH Phillies, 8-3, in a contest that had both squads volleying the lead. Americus got ahead in inning #3 and maintained it from that point on. Clint Sellars scored on a wild pitch to give the Orange and Navy crew the lead. Noah Young contributed a pair of extra base hits, what with a double in the initial at-batter, a hit in the third frame, and tripling in inning #4.

The Phillies were able to only get one hit off of pitcher Chance Hollomon. Hollomon allowed no scores earned, gave only one pass and fanned a trio during a pair of innings.

Hitting wise, Reid Ragsdale and Young combined for six hits and a trio of scores batted in. Americus started the hitting sparks in their intial frame with a grounder from Camron Vanlerberghe. More were plated on a score brought in double from Ragsdale, plus a hit by Cameron Belcher that plated a Traveler and a walk from Tommy Butler.

April 28 - Beast Baseball

The Americus Travelers shutout Beast Baseball by a score of 12-0 to win the Arbor Day NIT Tournament in Forsyth. All twelve points were scored in the third and deciding inning.

May 11 - NGB Cardinals

The Travelers lost to the NGB Cardinals, 4-3, in their contest at McDonough. Clint Sellars had a pair of extra-base hits for the Orange and Navy, what with a double in the initial at-batter, a hit in frame #3, and a dinger in inning #5. Americus took an early 1-0 in their first frame. The Travelers would plate another runner in the second, then one more in their fifth. Jarrod Wall's score-batted-in double plated Reid Ragsdale.

May 11 - Georgia Nationals

The Americus Travelers lost 7-5 in their game against the Georgia Nationals at McDonough. In the fourth frame, the Orange and Navy posted a pair on a run-scoring double by Clint Sellars, plus a run-scoring hit by Tommy Butler. Two more Americus scores came in their sixth. Sellars had a run-scoring double, plus a wild pitch by the Nationals sparked the rally. Americus scored one more in their seventh.

May 18 - South Georgia Double Play

The Travelers defeated South Georgia Double Play, 5-4, in Cordele. On the mound for the Orange and Navy was Clint Sellars, who allowed no hits or walks and sent four back to the dugout. Sellars also did well at bat, going 3-for-3 what with hits in the initial and third frames and a double in the Travelers fourth. Americus would plate a pair in the second on a run scoring hit by Harrison Bell and a wild pitch. Three more were added in the third, starting off strong with Jarrod Wall's hit plating Sellars.

May 18 - CC Baseball

The Travelers lost 5-2 to CC Baseball in Cordele. Harrison Bell went 2-for-2 with hits in both the fourth and sixth frames. Americus would score one in their second frame, Zach Britt's walk leading off the rally.

May 18 - Team Elite Gray

The Travelers won in a shutout against Team Elite Gray, 11-0, in Cordele. Americus plated seven in the first three frames. Noah Young contributed a solo homerun in the initial at batter, then Harrison Bell had a run-scoring hit in the second. Young would have a pair of extra-base hits. Bell, Young, Clint Sellars and Jarrod Wall combined for nine hits and five run-scoring hits. In their third, the Orange and Navy posted five. Reid Ragsdale's triple plated Young to start, then Ragsdale reached home via a single by Sellars. Four more came home in the fifth, what with a clutch ground out plating Wall. Pitching wise, Tommy Butler allowed only a single hit, no earned scores, no walks and sent a pair back to the dugout in three frames.

May 18 - Patriots

The Travelers defeated the Patriots, 8-4, in Cordele. Clint Sellars went 3-for-3 hitting, with hits in the initial at-batter, and the third and fourth frames. Both the Travelers and the Patriots traded runs which led to five lead changes. In their initial, Americus posted an early 2-0 lead with hits by Noah Young and Sellars; Sellars would later score on a passed ball. The Orange and Navy would secure the lead what with Sellars' deuce-scoring hit to plate Chance Hollomon and Young. Pitching wise, Sellars held the Patriots to no hits, no earned, no walks and fanning three. With this win, the Travelers won the Roadrunner Classic Tournament in their division.

May 25 - Panhandle Sox

The Travelers won against the Panhandle Sox, 10-9, in five innings. Clint Sellars went 3-for-3 at the plate with hits in the initial at-batter, third, and fifth frames. Sellars also had a great game on the mound, allowing only one hit, no scores, no walks and fanned one.

May 25 - Traveling Eagles

The Orange and Navy lost to the Traveling Eagles, 8-0. Will Lanneau went 2-for-2 in this game.

May 26 - Bay County Crush

The Travelers defeated the Bay County Crush, 6-4, in a game that saw the lead change eight times. The initial at-batter saw the Orange and Navy take an early lead, Clint Sellars' hit starting it off. Americus nailed the lead after the fifth, scoring on a run batted in double by Jarrod Wall which plated Clint Sellars. Noah Young contributed to the offense, scoring twice and contributing a score batted in hit; Young also hit a homerun in inning #5. Harrison Bell also posted a run-batted-in hit.

Pitching: Clint Sellars allowed only a pair of hits, one earned score, a pair of walks and fanned five during six innings.

May 26 - Southern Sluggers

The Travelers lost 16-4 to the Southern Sluggers. Reid Ragsdale went 2-for-3 in this contest. The Orange and Navy plated four in their third frame, what with a pair of wild pitches, a grounder by Ragsdale and a walk by Tommy Butler setting off the rally.

June 1 - Sandlot Baseball

The Travelers lost to Sandlot Baseball, 11-1. Noah Young went 1-for-2, driving in a run and scoring one; he had a homerun in the Travelers' initial at-batter.

June 1 - The Naturals

The Travelers defeated The Naturals, 7-3, in LaGrange. Americus would plate four in their initial at-batter. Camron Vanlerberghe posted a pair of scores batted in on a pair of hits, what with singles in frames one and three. The Orange and Navy plated three more in the third; getting things launched was Vanlerberghe's hit that plated Jarrod Wall. Later, Chance Hollomon's hit scored Harrison Bell.

Pitching: Noah Young allowed a pair of hits, one run, four walks and sent six back to the dugout in six innings.

June 2 - Traveling Eagles

The Travelers were defeated by the Traveling Eagles, 3-2, in LaGrange. Clint Sellars went 2-for-3, scoring once plus contributing a double in the initial at-batter and a hit in frame #7. Sellars also saw time on the mound; in a pair of innings, he allowed no hits or run, walked one and sent three back to the dugout. The Orange and Blue scored twice in the seventh via an error and a groundout by Harrison Bell.

June 9 - South Georgia Hooks

The Travelers won against the South Georgia Hooks, 11-3, in four innings. Americus plated six in the fourth frame to secure the win. In a great third inning, Tommy Butler's run-scoring hit plated Reid Ragsdale. Butler contributed four scores batted in on a pair of hits. The Orange and Navy posted an early 2-0 lead in their second, what with Jarrod Wall's hit starting things off. Later, Zach Britt doubled, bringing both Butler and Will Lanneau home. In the third, a run-scoring double by Clint Sellars and a run-scoring hit by Harrison Bell gave Americus the solid lead for good.

June 9 - Clay County Crusaders

The Travelers defeated the Clay County Crusaders, 16-3. The Orange and Navy would score 12 runs in their initial at-batter alone. Clint Sellars contributed six scores batted in on a trio of hits; he had a homerun in frame #1 and a hit in both the first and third. The Travelers would plate four in their third, what with Noah Young's double starting the rally to plate Zach Britt. Sellars' single brought Camron Vanlerberghe to home.

June 9 - North Florida Hurricanes

The Travelers defeated the North Florida Hurricanes, 5-3. Clint Sellars scored and contributed a score-batting hit; he later doubled in their third frame. Americus scored a pair in both their second and sixth frames. Will Lanneau's score-batted in hit plated Jarrod Wall in the second. A deuce scoring double by Tommy Butler came about in frame #6.

Pitching: Sellars allowed a trio of scores on a pair of hits, walked four and sent 11 back to the dugout in six innings.

June 9 - Nassau County Rangers

The Travelers won against the Nassau County Rangers, 8-5. The Orange and Navy plated four in their initial at-batter. Jarrod Wall contributed a trio of scores batted in on a trio of hits in the first, second and fourth frames. Three more scores came in the second, led off with Tommy Butler's hit which brought both Chance Hollomon and Reid Ragsdale to home. Wall's hit plated Clint Sellars.

With this win, the Travelers won the Surf & Turf Tournament in Brunswick.

June 15 - Elite Gamers

The Travelers lost 7-3 to the Elite Gamers in Valdosta. Chance Hollomon went 1-for-2, scoring once and posting a hit in frame #6. Americus plated one in the fourth, helped by Tommy Butler's score batted in hit. They would score two more in their sixth as a grounder by Clint Sellars and a wild pitch got the rally going.

June 15 - Macon Cardinals

The Travelers lost to the Macon Cardinals, 8-7. Noah Young went 2-for-3, reaching home plate once, doubling in their initial at-batter, and posting a hit in frame #4. The Orange and Navy plated five in their initial frame, scoring via a run scoring hit by Clint Sellars, an error, Camron Vanlerberghe's sacrifice fly, and walks by Chance Hollomon and Cameron Belcher. Americus saw Reid Ragsdale reach home plate on an error in the second, then the team scored one more in their fifth.

June 15 - Macon Cardinals

The Travelers faced the Cardinals once again in Valdosta and this time came out the winners, 11-1. Americus plated five in their initial three frames; starting the rally early were score batted in hits by Clint Sellars and Jarrod Wall. Sellars would wind up with a trio of hits that plated three. The Orange and Navy would score a trio each in their third, fourth and fifth frames. Sellars hit plated Reid Ragsdale in the third. In the fifth, Camron Vanlerberghe reached home via a passed ball, then Ragsdale's hit scored Cameron Belcher.

June 29 - Walton Athletics

The Travelers defeated the Walton Athletics, 14-1, in three innings. Pitching: Tommy Butler went a pair of innings, allowed a pair of hits and one earned and sending a pair back to the dugout. Hitting: Clint Sellars posted three, while Reid Ragsdale, Camron Vanlerberghe and Cameron Belcher contributed a pair each. Sellars would have a trio of scores batted in, while Butler, Belcher and Zach Britt each had a pair.

June 29 - East Atlanta Baseball Red

Americus won against East Atlanta Baseball Red, 15-3, in three innings. Reid Ragsdale pitched for two innings, allowing five hits and three earned. Chance Hollomon closed the game and sent a pair back to the dugout. Clint Sellars and Harrison Bell contributed a pair of hits each. Sellars would score three times - one being a homerun - while Ragsdale also posted a trio and Noah Young reached home twice.

June 30 - O Zone

The Travelers defeated the O Zone, 7-0, in Monroe. Clint Sellars pitched the shutout game, allowing only a pair of hits. Americus posted nine hits, including a pair of extra base hits. They plated a pair in the initial at-batter on a run scoring double by Sellars and a passed ball. Americus added a score in the second (Camron Vanlerberghe reached home), plus one in the fifth. The Orange and Navy would score three in their sixth on a run scoring single by Will Lanneau and a wild pitch. Sellars contributed a pair of scores batted in on deuce hits, doubling in their initial at-batter and singling in the fifth.

June 30 - Walton Athletics

The Travelers defated the Walton Athletics, 9-5, taking the final of four lead changes in the contest. Americus had a strong fifth inning, via a deuce scoring hit by Tommy Butler which plated both Reid Ragsdale and Clint Sellars. Noah Young contributed a trio of scores batted in on three hits, with a double, a single and a homerun. In their initial at-batter, Americus scored a pair via a hit from Butler which sent both Young and Sellars home. Sellars would also contribute a deuce scoring double. Pitcher Chance Hollomon held Walton to no hits, no earned, no walks and sending a pair back to the dugout.

July 10 - Macon Cardinals

The Travelers lost to the Macon Cardinals, 7-6, in five innings. Americus posted 13 hits in the contest. Will Lanneau contributed a pair of scores batted in on deuce hits, singling in both frames #2 and #5. The Travelers took an early 1-0 in their second, what with a double from Camron Vanlerberghe starting it off. Harrison Bell's grounder moved Vanlerberghe to third, then Lanneau's hit plated Vanlerberghe. Americus would plate one in the third; Tommy Butler's run-batted-in hit plated Reid Ragsdale. They scored one in the fourth, then plated three more in their fifth. Jarrod Wall contributed a score batted in hit, then a fielder's choice and a run batted in hit by Lanneau aided the effort.

July 11 - Baseball Scoutz Gold

The Travelers won against the Baseball Scoutz Gold, 6-5. Noah Young went 2-for-2 with hits in both the initial at-batter and fifth frame. Americus plated a pair in their third via a deuce scoring double by Reid Ragsdale. They would score three more in the fifth by way of a score batted in hit by Young, and walks by Clint Sellars and Tommy Butler.

July 11 - Game On Moccasins

The Travelers lost to the Game On Moccasins, 11-5. Noah Young went 3-for-3 in this contest. Americus plated a pair in their initial at-batter as Tommy Butler contributed a deuce run hit. They scored once in their third via a run-batted-in hit by Clint Sellars. Americus plated two more in their fourth. Young had a hit that scored a pair.

July 12 - Bullpen Braves

The Travelers defeated the Bullpen Braves, 11-7. The lead in the game changed four times. Americus took an early 2-0 lead in their initial at-batter. Jarrod Wall's hit plated both Reid Ragsdale and Clint Sellars to start things off. They went up for the duration after the sixth frame. Noah Young contributed a deuce-scoring double and Wall had a groundout. Sellars later came through with a grand slam that plated Young, Ragsdale, and Zach Britt. Sellars had four runs batted in on a trio of hits for the Orange and Navy.

July 13 - Fayette Force

The Travelers defeated the Fayette Force, 11-1, in five innings. Clint Sellars went 2-for-2 in the contest, posting a trio of scores batted in and three runs scored; he hit homeruns in both frames #3 and #5. Americus posted a score in their initial at-batter on a grounder by Reid Ragsdale, then plated seven in their fourth inning. Two more were added in their third. In three innings on the mound, Chance Hollomon allowed a pair of hit, no earned, one walk and sent four back to the dugout.

July 13 - Game On Moccasins

The Travelers won against the Game On Moccasins, 9-5. Americus took an early 1-0 lead in their initial at-batter, as both Noah Young and Clint Sellars contributed hits. They would post a single score in innings three through six. In their third, Sellars score batted in double brought Young to home. The team scored via fielder's choice in the fourth. With the score knotted at 5-5 in the seventh, Young's hit plated Chance Hollomon to give Americus the lead. Young would have a hit in each of his four times at bat. Sellars and Jarrod Wall combined for 10 hits and five runs-batted-in.

July 14 - Team Beast

The Travelers lost to Team Beast, 6-4, in six innings. Americus took an early 3-0 lead in their initial at-batter. Jarrod Wall had a homerun which plated both Tommy Butler and Reid Ragsdale; Butler's hit would start the rally. Wall contributed a trio of scores batted in on a hit.

July 14 - Carolina Defenders

The Travelers defeated the Carolina Defenders, 6-5, in a contest that saw the lead change six times. In their initial at-batter, Americus took an early 1-0 lead as Noah Young singled, then Reid Ragsdale's grounder moved Young to second base. In their seventh, Clint Sellars contributed a score batted in hit that plated Young. Young went 3-for-4 in the game, driving in one and scoring a trio. He posted hits in frames #1, #5 and #7.

July 14 - Team Beast

The Travelers saw their season come to a close as they lost in a rematch to Team Beast, 16-8, in five innings. Clint Sellars had a pair of home runs for Americus, going 2-for-3 with five scores batted in and a trio of runs; his homeruns were hit in the fourth and fifth frames. Americus had an early 2-0 lead in their initial at-batter. Noah Young's hit started the rally, then Tommy Butler's hit plated both Reid Ragsdale and Sellars. Two more scores came in the fourth frame as Sellars deuce scoring dinger led the rally. Americus plated four more in their fifth via a score batted in hit by Ragsdale and Sellars trio scoring home run.

Overall, the Travelers end their 2013 campaign with a 25-14 worksheet.
