Saturday, April 5 - Home Plate Chilidogs

The Travelers defeated the Home Plate Chilidogs, 11-2, in Peachtree City. The Orange and Navy crew posted seven scores in their initial three frames. Sparking the early offense were a score-batted-in double by Clint Sellars, a score-batted-in hit by Zachary Parrish, a run-batted-in hit by Harrison Bell and, later, another double by Sellars that plated a run. Sellars had a trio of extra base hits in the contest. Pitching: Cameron Belcher allowed a single score over a pair of innings, a pair of walks and gave up two hits.

Saturday, April 5 - Hardknox Orioles

Americus lost to the Hardknox Orioles, 9-1. The Travelers lone score came in their fourth frame via a run-batted-in hit by Jarrod Wall.

Sunday, April 6 - PTB Foundation A's

The Travelers defeated the PTB Foundation A's in a 12-0 shutout.

Sunday, April 6 - Peachtree City Bats Brantley

The Travelers defeated the Peachtree City Bats Brantley team, 11-9, in seven frames. Between both teams, there were 27 hits total in this contest. The game saw the lead change nine times.

Chance Hollomon and Clint Sellars teamed up for eight hits, five scores-batted-in. The Orange and Navy posted an early 5-0 lead in their initial at-batter. Reid Ragsdale's double plated Chandler Davis. Later Ragsdale scored via an RBI double by Sellars; Sellars himself reached home on a sac fly by Zachary Parrish. Hollomon reached home on a hit by Harrison Bell, then Will Lanneau scored via an RBI hit by Tommy Butler. In the fourth, Hollomon had a solo homerun, then Sellars contributed a score-batted-in hit. In a strong sixth frame, a run-batted-in hit by Sellars plated Hollomon. Sellers would contribute a pair of extra-base hits. Later on, Jarrod Wall contributed a sac fly and Ragsdale posted a score-batted-in hit.

Pitching: Hollomon got the win, allowing a pair of scores in deuce innings. He sent one back to the dugout, walked a pair and gave up three hits.


Saturday, April 26 - Bombsquad

The Travelers won against the Bombsquad, 8-5. Clint Sellars had a homerun in the initial at-batter for the Orange and Navy and would contribute a pair of scores batted in on a hit. Will Lanneau had a run-batted-in hit in the first. Americus would plate five more in their fourth; Reid Ragsdale led things off with a hit.

Pitching: Sellars allowed no hits, no earned, no walks and sent a pair back to the dugout. Chance Hollomon got the win, allowing a pair of runs, a pair of walks, four hits and sent one back.


Saturday, April 26 - South Georgia Select

Americus was defeated by the South Georgia Select, 10-9.

Sunday, April 27 - OTC Rattlers

The Travelers defeated the OTC Rattlers, 7-0. Hitting wise, the team had a great 4th inning - scoring four via Jarrod Wall's sac fly, a run-batted-in hit by Zachary Parrish, Will Lanneau's grounder and a run-batted-in hit by Cameron Belcher. Parrish would reach base three times, scored a trio and contributed a run-batted-in hit. Camron Vanlerberghe's sac fly plated one score in the second. Americus scored one each in both their fifth and sixth; a run-batted-in double by Clint Sellars plated Chandler Davis in the fifth.

Pitching: Sellars went the distance; he allowed no earned, a single walk and sent nine back to the dugout.


Sunday, April 27 - Bombsquad

Americus won against the Bombsquad, 6-5. The Orange and Navy grabbed an early 2-0 lead via a hit by Harrison Bell which plated Zachary Parrish. Later, Camron Vanlerberghe reached home on a run-batted-in hit by Cameron Belcher. The lead was the Travelers after the third; three scored on a fielder's choice and Jarrod Wall contributed a score-batted-in hit.

Pitching: Chandler Davis got the win on the mound, allowing three runs, a pair of walks and three hits.

With this win, the Travelers win the Lower Flight Championship for the Arbor Day NIT Tournament.


Saturday, May 10 - R-OTC Rattlers

The Travelers defeated the R-OTC Rattlers, 5-2, in McDonough. Americus plated four in their initial at-batter; Chandler Davis' hit scored three.

Pitching: Cameron Belcher allowed a pair of runs over four frames; he also gave up a pair of hits, walked four and sent six back to the dugout.


Saturday, May 10 - Diablos Maroon

Americus defeated Diablos Maroon, 8-2, in McDonough. The Orange and Navy were able to put away the contest early, what with eight in the first three frames. A deuce-scoring error, walk by Chance Hollomon and a home run by Reid Ragsdale contributed to the scores. Ragsdale would contribute four scores batted in on a pair of hits.

Pitching: In one inning, Hollomon allowed no hits, no earned, no walks and sent a trio back to the dugout. Cameron Belcher pitched two innings; he allowed a pair of scores, sent four back to the dugout, walked a pair and gave up a pair of hits.


Saturday, May 10 - Centerfield Baseball Academy

The Travelers lost to Centerfield Baseball Academy, 3-1, in McDonough. Americus plated its only run in their initial at-batter via an error.

Wednesday, May 28 - Team Elite South

The Travelers lost to Team Elite South, 5-4, in Americus. Chandler Davis went 3-for-3, doubling in the initial at-batter and seventh frame and a hit in the ninth. Americus scored a pair in the bottom of the third. Reid Ragsdale had a run-batted-in double and Clint Sellars posted a sac fly to set off their rally.

Saturday, May 31 - Bombsquad

The Travelers defeated the Bombsquad, 7-6, in a game that saw the lead go back and to four times. The Orange and Navy scored one each in the second, third and fourth. In inning #3, a run-batted-in by Zachary Parrish plated Clint Sellars. Americus took the lead after their fifth; Harrison Bell's sac fly plated Will Lanneau. Sellars contributed a pair of extra-base hits; tripling in the initial at-batter, a hit in the third and a double in the fifth.

Pitching: Cameron Belcher got the win. In a single shutout inning, he sent a pair back to the dugout, allowed no walks and no hits.


Saturday, May 31 - Home Plate Berry

Americus lost to Home Plate Berry, 6-4, in McDonough. Zachary Parrish had a trio of runs-batted-in on a pair of hits, doubling in the initial at-batter and tripling in the third. The Travelers had an early 2-0 lead - Clint Sellars singled, then Jarrod Wall's grounder moved Reid Ragsdale from second to third. Parrish's double plated both Sellars and Ragsdale.

Sunday, June 1- Bombsquad

The Travelers defeated the Bombsquad, 6-4, in a game that saw the lead go back and forth five times. The Travelers took an early lead in the second. Zachary Parrish hit, then Camron Vanlerberghe's hit plated Parrish. Americus took the lead in inning #4 and kept it; the team scored on a run-batted-in hit by Tommy Butler which plated Chandler Davis. Scores also came via a pair of doubles and a fielder's choice. Vanlerberghe went 2-for-2 in the contest, singling in the second and doubling in the fifth.

Pitching: Parrish went 2 and 2/3 innings; he allowed a single hit, no earned, a pair of walks and sent three back to the dugout.


Sunday, June 1 - Middle Georgia Baseball

Americus defeated Middle Georgia Baseball, 6-2. Clint Sellars reached base three times, scoring once and contributing a score-batted-in; he had a hit in the initial at-batter. Americus took the lead in their initial inning, scoring twice.

Pitching: Sellars got the win on the mound; he allowed no earned, a trio of hits, a pair of walks and sent six back to the dugout.


Sunday, June 1 - WNC Young Guns

The Travelers defeated the WNC Young Guns, 19-4. Americus scored 12 runs in the second inning - Chandler Davis had a home run that plated three; Clint Sellars' hit brought in one; a wild pitch; a hit by pitch; another wild pitch; an error; a score-batted-in double by Harrison Bell; a score-batted-in hit by Tommy Butler; a score-batted-in hit by Chance Hollomon, and a run-batted-in double by Davis. Davis would have four scores-batted-in on a pair of hits. The Travelers would combine for 12 hits, 12 scores-batted-in and 16 scored.

Pitching: Davis got the win, allowing a pair of runs over a pair of innings. He also walked one, allowed a trio of hits and struck out one.


Saturday, June 7 - Titans

The Travelers defeated the Titans, 5-1, in Monroe. Clint Sellars would have a trio of runs-batted-in in this contest; he doubled in the fifth inning. Americus plated one in their initial at-batter, scoring on a grounder by Sellars. They later plated a pair on a score-batted-in double by Camron Vanlerberghe and a run-batted-in hit by Zachary Parrish.

Pitching: Chance Hollomon allowed no hits, no earned, no walks and sent five back to the dugout in three innings of work.


Saturday, June 7 - Georgia Jawhawks

The Travelers and the Georgia Jayhawks ended up in a 3-3 tie in Monroe. Clint Sellars hit a thrice-scoring homerun in their initial at-batter.

Sunday, June 8 - Johns Creek River Monsters

The Travelers won against the Johns Creek River Monsters, 9-6, in Monroe. In their initial at-batter, Chandler Davis had a solo home run that scored a pair. Clint Sellars had a homerun in Americus' 2nd inning (four scores-batted-in on a hit). In the 4th, a walk with ducks on the pond plated Davis; Americus scored three in that inning.

Pitching: Zachary Parrish got the win on the mound. Over five innings, he allowed six, sent four back to the dugout, walked four and allowed five hits.


Sunday, June 8 - Elite Gamers RWB Bloomer

The Travelers defeated Elite Gamers RWB Bloomer, 22-3, in Monroe. Americus plated 11 in their initial three frames. Among highlights - run-batted-in hit by Jarrod Wall; run-batted-in hit by Tommy butler; run-batted-in hit via Camron Vanlerberghe; walk by Harrison Bell; walk by Chance Hollomon; deuce-scoring hit by Zachary Parrish; another run-batted-in hit by Butler. Later, Reid Ragsdale's hit would plate Chandler Davis. In the 4th, the Orange and Navy plated 11 more - Cameron Belcher's hit scored Zachary Parrish to start things off. Clint Sellars went 3-for-3 in the contest with hits in the first and second frames, a homerun in the third which brought Ragsdale to home plate. Americus would post 18 hits, 18 scores-batted-in, 20 scored.

Pitching: Sellars got the win; he allowed three runs over four innings. He walked one, gave up six hits and sent six back to the dugout.


Sunday, June 8 - Georgia Sluggers

The Travelers defeated the Georgia Sluggers, 10-3, in Monroe. In their initial at-batter, run-batted-in hits by Clint Sellars, Jarrod Wall and Zachary Parrish, along with an error, a run-batted-in double by Cameron Belcher and a grounder from Harrison Bell sparked the early going. Americus plated six in their initial three frames. Reid Ragsdale went 3-for-4 and scored three runs; he had hits in the first, fourth and sixth frames. Americus later plated three in their sixth; Sellars led off with a double that plated Ragsdale, then Parrish's hit plated Sellars.

Pitching: Belcher got the win; in four innings of work, he allowed three runs, sent a pair back to the dugout, walked three and allowed three hits.

With this win, the Travelers win the Red Flight Championship in the Round Tripper Tournament.


Saturday, June 14 - Acworth Warriors Blue

The Travelers lost to Acworth Warriors Blue, 6-4, in LaGrange. Will Lanneau reached base three times, scoring once and posting one run-batted-in; he had hits in innings six and eight. Americus would post an early 1-0 lead in their third.

Pitching: Cameron Belcher worked three innings; he allowed no hits, no earned, no walks and sent four back to the dugout. Chandler Davis worked three innings as well; he allowed a single walk, sent one back to the dugout and allowed a pair of runs.


Saturday, June 14 - Home Plate Berry

Americus defeated Home Plate Berry, 6-4, in LaGrange. The lead changed four times in this contest. The Travelers took an early 3-0 lead in their initial at-batter - Reid Ragsdale singled; Zachary Parrish's double plated Ragsdale and Clint Sellars; later, Parrish reached home on a sac fly by Tommy Butler. The Orange and Navy had a strong sixth inning; Sellars had a three-scoring dinger that plated Chandler Davis and Ragsdale. Sellars would have three scores-batted-in on a pair of hits in this game.

Pitching: Butler went three innings on the mound, allowing no hits, no earned, no walks and one strikeout. Will Lanneau pitched over 1 and 1/3 innings; he allowed no walks, one run and surrendered a single hit.


Saturday, June 14 - Georgia Braves

Americus won against the Georgia Braves, 10-1, in LaGrange. Clint Sellars hit two homeruns in this contest; he went 2-for-2 with four scores-batted-in, three runs scored. His homeruns came in the initial at-batter and inning #5. The Travelers bats rocked with ABC Smack in their seventh - six runs scored via a run-batted-in by Reid Ragsdale, a wild pitch, a deuce-scoring hit by Tommy Butler, and a run-batted-in by Camron Vanlerberghe.

Pitching: Zachary Parrish allowed no earned, four hits, three walks and sent six back to the dugout over six innings.


Sunday, June 15 - Orange Crush

The Travelers defeated the Orange Crush, 8-6, in LaGrange. Reid Ragsdale went 2-for-4 in this contest - he drove in one and scored a pair. Ragsdale had a hit in the initial at-batter and a homerun in inning #3. Americus' first inning saw one score plated via a run-batted-in by Tommy Butler. Later, they scored a pair in the fourth - a hit by Clint Sellars plated Chandler Davis, then a hit by Butler brought Sellars to home plate.

Pitching: Clint Sellars went six innings - he allowed six runs, sent eight back to the dugout, walked a pair and allowed 11 hits.


Sunday, June 15 - Home Plate Berry

Americus defeated Home Plate Berry, 6-0, in LaGrange. The Orange and Navy plated five in the first three innings. Chandler Davis had a solo dinger in their initial at-batter. That, plus a deuce-scoring error and a sac fly from Chance Hollomon sparked the early going in the contest. Davis went 2-for-3 in the game, driving in one and scoring one. In the third, Americus scored via wild pitch, plating Clint Sellars.

Pitching: Hollomon went five innings on the mound; he allowed three hits, no earned, and one walk. Cameron Belcher pitched two innings, allowing no walks and giving up a pair of hits.


Sunday, June 15 - Game On Baseball Abney

The Travelers defeated Game On Baseball Abney, 11-10, in LaGrange. With the score knotted 10-10 in the sixth frame, a walk plated Harrison Bell. Chandler Davis had a pair of scores-batted-in on a hit. Davis, Clint Sellars and Camron Vanlerberghe combined for seven hits, five runs-batted-in. Americus would plate five in their fourth via a deuce-scoring dinger from Sellars, a run-batted-in hit by Vanlerberghe, a hit by pitch and a score-batted-in hit from Bell. Additional scores came via Tommy Butler's grounder.

Pitching: Reid Ragsdale pitched three innings; he allowed four scores, a pair of walks and surrendered four hits.

The Travelers were defeated by Middle Georgia Baseball, 11-2, in LaGrange. Camron Vanlerberghe had a pair of scores-batted-in on a hit; he had a dinger in inning #5.

Americus defeated Sport Specific, 6-4, in Americus. Chandler Davis went 2-for-3 and scored a pair; he had a triple in the initial at-batter and a hit in the second. The Travelers took the lead in their first frame, plating three on Camron Vanlerberghe's grounder and a run-batted-in hit by Zachary Parrish. They would later plate three in the second via a score-batted-in hit by Reid Ragsdale and a deuce scoring hit by Clint Sellars.

Pitching: Cameron Belcher got the win; working three innings, he allowed a pair of runs, sent four back to the dugout, allowed a walk and surrendered a trio of hits.


Saturday, June 28 - Game On Bulls 13 Major

The Travelers lost to the Game On Bulls 13 Major, 9-2, in Americus. Chance Hollomon went 2-for-2 in the contest. Americus took an early 2-0 lead in the third, beginning with a hit from Hollomon.

Sunday, June 29 - Game On Baseball Abney

The Travelers defeated Game On Baseball Abney, 13-4, in Americus. The top of the Orange and Navy's first had them taking a 2-0 lead. They pushed more runs through when Clint Sellars scored via an error. The Travelers took the lead in their fourth, scoring a pair via Tommy Butler's deuce-scoring hit. Later, they plated four in their fifth; a bags loaded walk scored Harrison Bell to get Americus on board. Americus would plate five in their sixth; Bell had a run-batted-in hit and a deuce scoring error were among the highlights. Sellars reached base three times; he scored three and a score-batted-in. He also had a triple in the initial at-batter.

Pitching: Sellars got the win; in four innings work, he allowed a trio of runs, sent five back to the dugout, allowed a pair of walks and four hits.

The Travelers lost to the Game On Bulls 13 Major, 8-0, in Americus.

Wednesday, July 9 - Lafayette Stealth Black

The Travelers defeated Lafayette Stealth Black, 7-1, at Foley. Three of their runs were scored in the third frame. Chandler Davis went 2-for-3 in the contest, scoring a pair; he had a hit in the third and a double in the fifth. Americus scored a pair in both their fourth and fifth innings; a wild pitch scored Cameron Belcher in the fifth to start things off.

Pitching: Clint Sellars worked five innings; he allowed one hit, no earned, walked a pair and sent eight back to the dugout.


Wednesday, July 9 - Texas Crusaders

The Travelers defeated the Texas Crusaders, 7-3, in five innings at Foley. Chandler Davis went 1-for-1; he had a triple in the fifth frame. Americus took an early 1-0 in their initial at-batter; Reid Ragsdale hit, and a stolen base moved him from first to second. Will Lanneau's hit plated Ragsdale. The Travelers later plated four at home in the fifth, via an error and Davis' triple.

Thursday, July 10 - DC Eagles

The Travelers defeated the DC Eagles, 12-1, on Orange Beach Field #2. Americus plated 12 in their initial three frames. Zachary Parrish's deuce-scoring dinger and a walk by Tommy Butler came about in their initial at-batter; in the second, a wild pitch, a score-batted-in hit by Parrish, a hit by pitch, and a walk by Jarrod Wall supplied the offense. Parrish would have three runs-batted-in on a pair of hits for the Orange and Navy.

Pitching: Cameron Belcher went three innings. He allowed one hit, no earned, one walk and sent four back to the dugout.


Thursday, July 10 - Marucci Astros

Americus lost to the Marucci Astros, 7-3, in five innings at Orange Beach Field #2. Chance Hollomon went 1-for-1, driving in one and scoring a run; he had a homerun in the third inning. The Travelers had an early 2-0 in their initial at-batter. A solo blast by Chandler Davis led things off; Americus plated more when Zachary Parrish scored via a wild pitch.

Friday, July 11 - Original Cougars

The Travelers defeated the Original Cougars, 8-0, in five at Gulf Shores High. Americus would score seven of the eight in their third inning; scores came via a run-batted-in hit by Chance Hollomon, a three-scoring double by Clint Sellars, a run-batted-in double by Zachary Parrish, a run-batted-in double by Will Lanneau, and a passed ball.

Pitching: Cameron Belcher went the distance; he allowed only one hit, no earned, a pair of walks and sent four back to the dugout.


Saturday, July 12 - Centex Aces

The Travelers lost to the Centex Aces, 14-2, at Gulf Shores High. Americus scored twice in their third. A run-batted-in hits by Reid Ragsdale and Clint Sellars triggered the comeback.

Saturday, July 12 - Houma Braves

The Travelers defeated the Houma Braves, 5-4, at Gulf Shores High. Americus scored once in their third, fifth and sixth innings. In the third, Zachary Parrish's sac fly plated Chandler Davis. In the sixth, Jarrod Wall brought the go-ahead to home; Will Lanneau doubled, then Wall came with a knotted 4-4 score. His hit plated Lanneau.

Pitching: Clint Sellars got the win; he allowed four runs, no walks, six hits and sent ten back to the dugout in six innings.


Saturday, July 12 - Longhorns Baseball

The Travelers lost to Longhorns Baseball, 4-3, at Gulf Shores High. Clint Sellars went 3-for-3 in the contest; he had a pair of extra-base hits, doubled in both the initial at-batter and fourth inning, and had a hit in the sixth.

With this game, the Travelers finished in the Final Four of the USSSA Global World Series. They end their 2014 spring/summer campaign with a 28-12-1 worksheet.
