      #01, Head Coach - Tim Estes

Coach Tim Estes founded the Americus Travelers Baseball Club in 1995 and has guided their rise from a recreational level into a national recognized elite level program. He has twice been named the National Coach of the Year (2007, 2013) and has lead teams into the National Championship game during six seasons; 2007, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. His 2007 Travelers team won the USSSA 17U “Major” World Series in Charlotte, North Carolina. His 2020 team won the Top Gun Summer National Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Coach Estes playing career includes a decorated high school career at Americus High School where he was an All-Area & All-Region Catcher. He played college baseball on scholarship at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama for Hall of Fame Coach; Tom Fletcher. In addition to youth baseball he served as a volunteer assistant for two seasons at Sidney Lanier High School, served as a “Bird Dog” Scout for the San Francisco Giants organization for two seasons and has now been the director of operations and head coach of the Americus Travelers for 25 seasons.

Professionally, Tim Estes has spent his entire career in the field of public parks and recreation. He began his career as a stadium manager for the city of Montgomery, Alabama (1990-1994). He then became the assistant director of the Americus-Sumter County Recreation Department (1994 – 2008). He now serves as the Executive Director of the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department. In addition to his employment – he is also very involved in the Georgia Recreation and Park Association and has served on the State Athletic Committee for 13 years. He was selected as the State Athletic Chairman in 2019 and will serve in that same role again in 2022.

Personally; Tim has been married to his wife Tammie since 1993 and they have two daughters; Lexie Estes Wall and Ashleigh Estes. They are members of the Oasis church of Christ in Ellaville, Georgia where Tim alternates the preaching duties. He enjoys fishing, vacationing in Helen, Georgia and spending time at the beach.

      Assistant Coach - Reid Ragsdale

      Assistant Coach - Jarrod Wall

Jarrod Wall enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Americus Travelers. He graduated from Schley County High School in May 2017. He played baseball for four years, winning two state championships as a catcher. Wall recently graduated from Albany Technical College as a Paramedic and works full-time for Dougherty County EMS as well as part-time with Schley County EMS. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter in Ellaville.

Wall was born in Warner Robins and raised in Ellaville. He played for the Americus Travelers, beginning as a 13 year old in 2013, under the direction of Tim Estes, Jeff Fussell and Adam Fussell. Wall is also an Eagle Scout. He recently married his high school sweetheart; Lexie Estes in August 2020. They reside in Ellaville with their dogs Tank & Ryder. They attend the Oasis church of Christ. Coach Wall is the son of Rodney and Vanessa Wall and has an older sister; Mallory.

      Assistant Coach - Aaron Ginn

Aaron Ginn joins the Travelers coaching staff for 2021. Ginn is a 2021 graduate of Albany State University. He pitched collegiately at Pensacola State College, the University of Southern Mississippi and at Albany State. His main responsibilities will be working with the Travelers pitchers. Coach Ginn is from Crawfordville, Florida. He is the son of Mike and Melanie Ginn and has an older brother; Brian Ginn.

May 22, 2021 - Gulfport Green Wave 16U

The 16U Travelers of Americus lost to the Gulfport Green Wave 16U, 5-3. Henry Johnson led with a pair of hits in three at-=bats. A pair of Travelers stole at least two bases. Caden King led with two.

Pitching: Caden King allowed four hits and five runs over five frames. He sent six back to the bench. Peyton Tompkins threw one inning in relief.


May 22, 2021 - Panhandle Trojans

The Americus Travelers 16U shutout the Panhandle Trojans, 10-0. Americus would open up scoring in their initial at-batter via an error that scored one. The Orange and Navy would plate six in their 4th frame; contributing to the big inning were Gavin Lacey, Thomas Ray, Henry Johnson and Thomas "Chewy' Willis, all who drove in runs. Americus would post nine hits total in the contest; Ray, Johnson and Willis each posted a pair of hits. The Travelers stole base seven times, with three of those coming from Caden King.

Pitching: Landon Kight went four frames; he allowed one hit, no runs, one walk and sent six back to the dugout.


May 23, 2021 - Gulfport Green Wave 16U

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated the Gulfport Green Wave 16U, 2-1. Scoring commenced in the Orange and Navy's initial at-batter; Gavin Lacey hit into a fielder's choice, though one run scored. Thomas "Chewy" Willis went 2-for-2 in the contest.

Pitching: Thomas Ray went seven frames. He allowed one run on three hits and sent eight back to the bench.


May 23, 2021 - Panhandle Trojans

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated the Panhandle Trojans, 9-2. The Orange and Navy got on the board in their initial at-batter; Thomas "Chewy" Willis's grounder plated one run. Americus would plate four in their third, led by Gavin Lacey, Peyton Tompkins and Dylan Davis all knocking in runs in the frame. Caden King, Lacey, Chase Ledger and Thomas all contributed a hit, and four Travelers stole at least a pair of bases. Owen Lamb led with four.

Pitching: Tripp Thomas allowed four hits and a pair of runs over five frames. He struck out one.


May 23, 2021 - Panhandle Trojans

The Americus Travelers 16U won against the Panhandle Trojans, 3-1. Americus commenced scoring in their second frame; Tripp Thomas singled on the first pitch of the at bat, plating one. The Orange and Navy scattered eight hits in this contest. Dylan Davis and Henry Johnson each posted a pair of hits in the contest.

Pitching: Owen Lamb lasted six and two-thirds frames. He allowed four hits, one run and sent six back to the dugout.


May 23, 2021 - Gulfport Green Wave 16U

The 16U Americus Travelers won against Gulfport Green Wave 16U, 7-4. The Orange and Navy would get things going in their initial at-batter as Chase Ledger doubled on a 1-0 count, plating one. Americus knotted the contest up at four in their fourth; Henry Johnson doubled on a 1-2 count, plating one. In the top of the fifth, Tripp Thomas doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, plating a pair. The Travelers would post ten hits total with a pair each from Johnson, Owen Lamb and Dylan Davis.

Pitching: Ledger went five frames. He allowed three hits and four scores over five frames and sent 13 back to the bench.


May 29, 2021 - Bullpen Athletics 16U

The Americus Travelers 16U lost to the Bullpen Athletics, 7-6. Americus would post seven hits total in the contest. In the bottom of the fifth frame, Americus knotted the game at 6-6; Dylan Davis singled on a 0-1 count, plating one. Henry Johnson, Thomas Ray, Landon Kight, Davis, Caden King, Gavin Lacey and Thomas "Chewy" Willis all posted one hit each.

Pitching: Owen Lamb allowed six hits and six runs over four frames. He struck out one. Gavin Lacey threw two innings out of the bullpen.


May 29, 2021 - Bash Express

The 16U Travelers of Americus lost to the Bash Express, 5-4. Gavin Lacey had two hits in three at-bats. Three Travelers stole at least two bases; Lacey led the way with two.

Pitching: Caden King went three frames. He allowed four runs on three hits and sent five back to the dugout. Landon Kight threw a pair of innings in relief.


May 30, 2021 - Sopro Dothan

The Americus Travelers 16U defeated SoPro Dothan, 6-5. Scoring commenced in the initial at-batter; Caden King hit into a fielder's choice with one run scoring. The contest was knotted at 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh frame as Henry Johnson doubled on a 2-1 count, plating one. King, Landon Kight, Dylan Davis, Johnson and Thomas "Chewy" Willis each posted one hit.

Pitching: Chase Ledger went seven innings. He allowed five runs on six hits, no walks and sent eight back to the bench.


May 30, 2021 - Sopro Dothan

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated SoPro Dothan, 19-2. Owen Lamb drove in four run - single in the initial at-batter, single in the third and triple in the fourth frame. The Orange and Navy's scoring commenced in their initial at-batter; Caden King drew a walk which plated one. Americus would plate nine in their fourth; King, Lamb, Chase Ledger, Peyton Tompkins, Henry Johnson and Tripp Thomas all had RBIs. The Travelers would post 12 hits total. Lamb, Johnson and King all had multiple hits. Americus didn't commit a single error in the field. Three Travelers stole at least two bases. Gavin Lacey led the way with two.

Pitching: Tripp Thomas went four innings. He allowed three hits and a pair of runs while sending seven back to the dugout.


June 4, 2021 - Next Level Baseball 15U

The 16U Travelers of Americus were victorious over Next Level Baseball 15U, 11-1. Americus would post 14 hits total in the contest. Caden King, Gavin Lacey, Henry Johnson and Owen Lamb all had multiple hits; King led with three in four at bats.

Pitching: Caden King went seven innings. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out four.


June 4, 2021 - Sopro Dothan

The Americus Travelers 16U shutout SoPro Dothan (Kirkland), 8-0. Chase Ledger drove in five runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate via a hit in the second frame, a double in the fourth and a hit in the sixth. Henry Johnson and Owen Lamb both also posted multiple hits for the Orange and Navy.

Pitching: Owen Lamb threw no-hit baseball. He went six innings, allowed no runs and sent 11 back to the bench.


June 5, 2021 - Maximum Exposure 16U

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated Maximum Exposure 16U in a 14-0 shutout victory. Things got going in the initial at-batter; Dylan Davis doubled on a 2-1 count to plate one. Americus posted six in their second frame via a RBI home run by Tripp Thomas. The Travelers posted ten hits total in the contest with a pair each from Owen Lamb and Davis.

Pitching: Thomas Ray threw the complete game. He allowed no runs, one hit and sent seven back to the dugout in five frames.


June 5, 2021 - SBG Sox Auburn Prime 16U

The Americus Travelers 16U defeated SBG Sox Auburn Prime 16U, 16-5. Americus got the offense going in their initial at-batter; Dylan Davis drove in one with a double. The Orange and Navy had one home run by Caden King in the fifth frame. The Travelers would post 17 hits total in the contest. Gavin Lacey had three hits in three at bats. Others with multiple hits were Tripp Thomas, Henry Johnson, Owen Lamb, King and Thomas Ray.

Pitching: Landon Kight went five innings. He allowed three hits and five runs and struck out one.


June 6, 2021 - Next Level Baseball 14U

The Americus Travelers 16U were victorious over Next Level Baseball 14U, 11-3. In the initial at-batter, Americus would score seven via a hit by Caden King, walks by Thomas Ray and Owen Lamb, sac fly by Thomas "Chewy" Willis, an error on a ball put in play by Landon Kight and a wild pitch during Henry Johnson's at bat. Dylan Davis, Lamb, Peyton Tompkins and Gavin Lacey each contributed a hit. The Orange and Navy did not have a single error in the field.

Pitching: Tripp Thomas went five innings. He allowed three runs on seven hits and sent five back to the bench.


June 18, 2021 - Team Elite Prospects/Winder

The 16U Travelers of Americus were victorious over Team Elite Prospects/Winder, 9-1. Americus plated five runs in their fourth frame with runs batted in from Chase Ledger, Thomas "Chewy" Willis, Peyton Tompkins, Landon Kight and Henry Johnson. The Orange and Navy Scoring commenced in the initial at-batter as Dylan Davis' hit drove in one. Americus posted 11 hits total in the contest with a pair each from Davis, Owen Lamb and Ledger.

Pitching: Caden King went five innings. He allowed four hits and one run and sent nine back to the dugout.


June 25, 2021 - Next Level 16U/Gutterman

The Americus Travelers 16U defeated Next Level 16U/Gutterman, 5-2. Americus put scores on the board in their initial at-batter via a hit by Owen Lamb, a double by Dylan Davis and a hit by Chase Ledger. Lamb led in hitting with two hits in two at bats.

Pitching: Landon Kight got the victory for the Orange and Navy. He went five and 1/3 frames, allowing no runs on one hit and sent two back to the dugout. Owen Lamb went 2/3 of a frame, allowing a pair of hits and two runs while striking out one.


June 26, 2021 - Mill Creek Hawks

The 16U Travelers of Americus shutout the Mill Creek Hawks, 6-0. Americus got score going in their second frame; Tripp Thomas grounded out, plating one. The Orange and Navy would post three more in their fourth; Thomas "Chewy" Willis and Peyton Tompkins both sent runners across with RBIs in the frame. The Travelers would post eight hits total in the contest. Chase Ledger and Tompkins both contributed a pair of hits. Americus had no errors in the field.

Pitching: Chase Ledger allowed no runs, a pair of hits, one walk and sent 15 back to the bench in seven innings.


June 26, 2021 - Loganville Bats 15U

The Americus Travelers 16U defeated the Loganville Bats 15U, 11-1. Americus would plate eight in their third frame. The mighty bats in the frame were led by hits by Dylan Davis, Gavin Lacey and Henry Johnson, a walk by Caden King, a groundout by Landon Kight, an error on a ball put in play with Thomas "Chewy" Willis, and a double by Chase Ledger. The Orange and Navy posted 12 hits total in the contest with a pair each coming from Johnson and Thomas Ray.

Pitching: Thomas "Chewy" Willis gave up one run on one hit over two and 1/3 frames. He sent five back to the bench. Owen Lamb threw two and 2/3 frames in relief.


June 27, 2021 - Alliance Baseball 16U

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated Alliance Baseball 16U, 14-4. In the top of their third, the Orange and Navy knotted the contest at 3-3. Thomas Ray's sac fly scored one. The contest was knotted 3-3 with Americus batting in the top of the fifth; Landon Kight's sac fly plated one. The Travelers posted six scores in their sixth on hits by Dylan Davis, Caden King and Thomas "Chewy" Willis and a double by Tripp Thomas. Americus posted 12 hits total on the day. Henry Johnson, King, Willis and Thomas each had a pair of hits. The Travelers did not commit a single error. Ray led with three stolen bases out of ten.

Pitching: Caden King went seven frames. He allowed four hits, four runs and struck out seven.


July 7, 2021 - 16U Coastal Academy Astros

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated the 16U Coastal Academy Astros, 8-1. Americus plated seven in their initial at-batter, led by walks by Dylan Davis and Chase Ledger, a hit by Caden King, a fielder's choice by Tripp Thomas and an error on a ball put in play by Gavin Lacey. King went 2-for-2 at the plate.

Pitching: Owen Lamb went two innings. He allowed one run, no hits and struck out three.


July 7, 2021 - WOW Factor 16U Prime

The Americus Travelers 16U lost to WOW Factor 16U Prime, 2-1. In the third frame, a sacrifice bunt by Thomas "Chewy" Willis plated one for the Orange and Navy. Dylan Davis, Gavin Lacey and Tripp Thomas each posted one hit. The Travelers did not commit a single error in the contest.

Pitching: Caden King allowed four hits and one score over three frames. He sent five back to the dugout and allowed no walks. Landon Kight threw one and 2/3 frames in relief.


July 8, 2021 - Eastern Shore Xtreme

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated Eastern Shore Xtreme, 6-0. Americus would plate five in their second frame, led by hits by Tripp Thomas, Thomas "Chewy" Willis and Landon Kight, and a double by Thomas Ray. The Orange and Navy posted nine hits total in the contest with a pair each from Thomas and Henry Johnson.

Pitching: Chase Ledger went two innings. He allowed one hit and no runs while sending three back to the dugout and allowing no walks. Peyton Tompkins threw three innings in relief.


July 8, 2021 - Mississippi Blue Jays

The Americus Travelers 16U played to a 2-2 tie against the Mississippi Blue Jays. Henry Johnson led with two hits in three at-bats.


July 9, 2021 - Mississippi Blue Jays

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated the Mississippi Blue Jays, 8-4. Americus plated four in their third frame. Owen Lamb singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one. Caden King's sacrifice fly plated one, and Gavin Lacey's hit on a 1-2 count scored a pair. Lamb went 2-for-3 to lead in hits.

Pitching: Thomas Ray lasted four innings. He allowed a pair of hits and four runs while sending four back to the dugout.


July 9, 2021 - WOW Factor 16U Prime

The Americus Travelers 16U defeated WOW Factor 16U Prime in an 8-0 shutout. Americus got scoring going in their initial at-batter by way of runs-batted-in from Dylan Davis, Caden King and Gavin Lacey; five Travelers scored in the inning. The Orange and Navy posted ten hits total in the contest. Lacey and Chase Ledger each posted a pair of hits. Americus didn't commit a single error.

Pitching: Owen Lamb went five innings. He allowed no runs, a pair of hits and sent seven back to the bench.


July 9, 2021 - Southern Arkansas 16U

The 16U Travelers of Americus defeated Southern Arkansas 16U, 5-2. The contest was knotted 2-2 in the top of the sixth frame; a sacrifice bunt by Peyton Tompkins scored one. In the prior inning, Thomas Ray drew a walk which plated one Traveler. Henry Johnson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits.

Pitching: Caden King went six innings. He allowed seven hits and a pair of runs, and sent five back to the dugout.


July 10, 2021 - Mississippi Blue Jays

The 16U Travelers of Americus wrap up their 2021 season in strong order with a 6-1 win over the Mississippi Blue Jays. Americus got their scoring going in their initial at-batter as an error scored a pair. Dylan Davis, Caden King, Gavin Lacey and Henry Johnson each contributed a hit.

Pitching: Chase Ledger went five innings. He allowed one run on one hit, no walks and sent eight back to the bench.

With this win, the Travelers win the Perfect Game Gulf Coast World Series and wrap up 2021 with a 23-5-1 worksheet.
